11 months!? and summer in SF

D is 11 months tomorrow. I can't believe he's turning a year soon. Time flies with the little ones, they change so much. Last year at this time I was about to go on leave, with not a clue what was ahead of me. Now, well now I almost have a toddler on my hands - unbelievable.

We've still been struggling with colds and ear infections over the past few weeks, but we did manage to sneak some fun in there. There was brunch at Heike and Kira's for Ms. Beth's visit, which was a lovely reunion (can't believe it was 10 years ago)!
Then, as summer in SF kicked in, we managed to go on a hike up in Marin. It was the first time we got to try out the hiking pack that my friend generously passed down, and it was a great success. Everyone had a wonderful time, Smokey included, who was glad to not have been left behind for the adventure.
