A weekend of firsts...

This past weekend was action-packed - we had D's first birthday party (a little early because we're going on vacation next weekend) and our first mother's day (D managed to skip last year's by delaying his arrival). We had a few friends and their tots over for D's birthday party (as well as Auntie Kathy and Uncle Cho), and the kiddies had a great time playing with the water table and in the sandbox.


We had a bit of a Cinco de Mayo celebration, with fajitas, margaritas and, naturally, a tres leches cake to mark the event (although he didn't have any). D loved hearing everyone sing to him, and I blew out the candle for him.
The next day we celebrated mother's day by going out to brunch with our friends Zara, Tom and Zach. We were all famished, so we thoroughly enjoyed the food as well as a mother's day cocktail or two (all but the little ones, of course). And so another set of firsts was celebrated, as D counts down the days to the first year anniversary of his coming into this world...
