2 weeks now

Wow, time flies. It's already been two weeks since Damiano was born. The long weekend was particularly nice, having Chris at home for three days as opposed to just the weekend. We took an outing to Dolores Park yesterday as the weather was super-nice, and so the 4 of us plus his auntie Camilla embarked on the journey. We don't quite have it down yet (there were a few things we should have brought which we did not), but overall it wasn't that bad for a first park outing.

Damiano seems to grow and change daily. At his first pediatrician's appointment, he was almost exactly back to his fighting weight (the conversion off the scale did not allow for 4oz of weight, only 3 or 5, so he officially weighed in at 8lbs and 3 oz). Now he's pretty much free-feeding, rather than being force-fed every three hours. We're also trying to have him be awake during the day and sleep at night. =) We recently figured out that he'd rather sit up than lie down when he's awake, so the swing that his auntie Kathy has given him has been the perfect ticket. He now sits in the dining room with us and stares around while we get to do a few chores.
