3 weeks and counting

The D is 3 weeks today. He's growing by leaps and bounds - at the last doc's appointment (on Thursday) he was already a whopping 9lbs and 5oz. I expect this week he'll break 10lbs, but we'll have to wait another week to find out, because that's when the next doc's appointment is. He's getting more interested in watching things around him and will stare for minutes on end. He now enjoys his time on the gymini much more, and is working very hard on holding his head up.

In other news, our friends Ken and Julianne just had their baby boy last night, so tonight we went to visit Damiano's second buddy (the first one being Mike and Jen Moore's second kid, Liam, who was born less than a week after the D). He was so cute, all newborn and sleepy. It was a bit odd to be back at CPMC a mere three weeks after we were there ourselves. Luckily we got to see two of the nurses who took care of us, so we got to show them how Damiano has grown.

Finally, as a sign-off note, Smokey loves the nursing pillow.
