Visits and smiles

On Thursday we went for an adventure in the East Bay, meaning we crossed the bridge and went to visit our friends. Damiano met Olivia for the first time, and they hung out, even if they don't really know it... =) Olivia's mom Kate and I had lunch and chatted, while Olivia slept peacefully the whole time and D hung out. He was very good during the car ride, which I was grateful for.


Also, for the first time on camera we have a record of Damiano smiling! He started doing that about a week or two ago, and it makes such a difference! Having the little guy look at you and smile and coo truly makes your heart melt. The pic is somewhat goofy, but Chris managed to capture it and I'm putting it up there for everyone to see. Although I'm sure there are plenty of other milestones to look forward to (talking, walking, etc.), this is such a great event that still his every smile is enough payback for all the effort, regardless of how tired I may be.
