Epiphany

Yesterday we went over to Camilla & Sergio's to celebrate the epiphany. In Italy the epiphany is a prolonged celebration for children - that's when socks are hung and a witch comes to leave them gifts if they've been good or coal if they've been bad. Since Damiano and Francesco are too young to really enjoy this tradition, we just had lunch and opened up presents for them. It's a nice ending to the holiday season, a reminder to pack up all the Christmas paraphenalia and start off the new year. So, for nostalgia' sake, here's a last picture of Damiano and I in front of his first Christmas tree...
